We often hold on to self-limiting emotions and store them in the body, which blocks our energy. When we free those emotions with the breath, we liberate energy – and, in a sense, we free ourselves from the past.
With Inspire, Volume 2, you’ll learn how Dr Joe personally does this work. To get the most out of any practice, we must assign meaning to whatever we’re doing. We clarify the importance of what we’re doing so the intent behind our actions has value. This turns on the prefrontal cortex – the seat of intention; the “game-changer.” Thus, the more we understand the “what” and the “why,” the “how” becomes easier.
In this excerpt from his 2022 Basel Progressive Retreat, Dr Joe walks us through the breath we call “Pulling the Mind Out of the Body.” He breaks down the science and the technique, step by step, helping us assign meaning to the breath – the what and the why – and refine our ability to do it – the how.
We’ll learn about the energy stored in our lower energy centers in the body – powerful enough to create life – and how to liberate that energy by drawing it from the base of the spine, ascending it through each of the energy centers, and releasing it into the brain.
Finally, because there is no greater teacher than experience, we’ll join Dr Joe in practicing the breath – in one slow, steady motion – to feel its power for ourselves.
Our research shows when we incorporate the breath into our practice and deliver more energy to the brain, we’re able to reach a state of “super-consciousness” by creating gamma brain wave patterns. Dr Joe Dispenza holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is a Doctor of Chiropractic. His post graduate training includes the fields of neuroscience and neuroplasticity, quantitative electroencephalogram (QEEG) measurements, epigenetics, mind-body medicine, and brain/heart coherence. As a researcher, lecturer, author, and corporate consultant, his interest lies in demystifying the mystical so that people have all the tools within their reach to make measurable changes in their lives.
